Under the full support of the Palace Museum, the Chinese Cultural Foundation of the College, and the China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the highest art school in China, opened a postgraduate course entitled "Jade Carving Crafts and National Etiquette" in November 2013 . The course will focus on the multi-faceted and multi-angle study of jade carving art in the aspects of jade styling and Chinese etiquette, national culture and model specification. At the same time, based on the techniques and techniques of traditional jade carving, modernization will be carried out. The practice of jade carving creates artistic works associated with modern design and current lifestyle.
The course was hosted by Professor Zhuo Fan of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and invited scholars, famous designers and masters of jade carving to promote the research and practice of the course.
This is the first time since the establishment of Xu Beihong in 1918, the art of jade carving has entered the college's teaching and research system as a research course of the college. The establishment of this course will further collect Chinese traditional jade carving techniques, sort out Chinese etiquette culture, and systematically study the promotion of Chinese classic civilization.
