Pakistan exports of textile products increased by 26%

Javed Chinoy, President of the Pakistani Dress Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA), met with Dawood Usman Jakhura, Acting President of the Pakistan Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in the Federal House of Representatives on Saturday, saying that due to the export of this financial year Businessmen have made great efforts and Pakistan's value-added textile products have increased by 26%. Javier Chinoy said that FPCCI and PRGMEA have played an important role in promoting the export of high value-added products in Pakistan. Dawood Jakhura stressed that in addition to diversifying the non-traditional market, we must also strengthen the marketing of garments in different countries. This will also increase Pakistan’s ** position.

Javed Chinoy pointed out that political instability has had a negative impact on the economy of the entire country, including increasing value-added textile sectors. He suggested that natural gas and electricity prices should be frozen for at least one year to ensure consistency in the pricing of export products.

He also asked for a tax refund as soon as possible to provide support for exporters facing financial difficulties. The FPCCI Acting President appreciated PRGMEA's role in promoting the export of high value-added products and assured the delegation that he will work hard to resolve the issues raised by PRGMEA officials.
