Benefited from preferential tariffs for ECFA's Xinjiang products sold in Taiwan

On March 23rd, Xinjiang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau issued a cross-strait economic cooperation framework agreement**** for a batch of PBT resin sold by Xinjiang Lanshan Tunhe Polyester Co., Ltd. to Taiwan, with a visa amounting to approximately US$260,000. The relevant provisions of the Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement, the goods can enjoy tariff concessions of about 6,500 US dollars. Xinjiang Lanshan Tunhe Polyester Co., Ltd. has thus become the first enterprise in Xinjiang to enjoy the preferential policies of this agreement.

According to the agreement, the 267 commodities that are sold to Taiwan in mainland China include petrochemical products, machinery products, textile products and other products. Within three years, tariff concessions will be implemented gradually and in batches, with a concession rate of 1%-10. %, until all are reduced to zero tariffs. This has created favorable conditions for production companies to reduce sales costs and promote sales to the Taiwan market.

According to the website of the General Administration of Customs, the “Measures for the Administration of the Origin of Import and Export Goods under the Framework Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Two Sides of the Straits of the People’s Republic of China” was implemented this year.
