Da Keding, cast in the Western Zhou Xiaowang (the end of the 10th century BC) period, was unearthed in the middle of the Guangxu period in the Fufeng Temple of Fufeng, Shaanxi Province. It is comparable to the Mao Gongding, the Sanshi Pan and the Jizizi. Da Ke Ding is arrogant, majestic and heavy, 93.1 cm high and weighs 201.5 kg. The mouth is decorated with animal face and the belly is decorated with smooth wave pattern. Da Ke Ding's neck is decorated with three sets of symmetrical deformation ridges, with prominent ridges at the junction, where the six out; the abdomen is decorated with a continuous sneak pattern of two sides, surrounding the whole device for a week. The inner wall of the abdomen has an inscription two hundred and nine crosses. The font is neat and round, and it is a model of bronze inscriptions in the middle and late Western Zhou Dynasty.
Da Ke Ding, also known as Ke Ding and Shi Fu Ke Ding, is a famous bronze ware in the late Western Zhou Dynasty. Together with Da Ke Ding Ding, there are seven pieces of Xiao Ding, two pieces of gong, six pieces of bells and one piece of gongs, all of which are made by Shifuke. Therefore, this tripod is called Da Ke Ding, and Xiao Ding is Xiao Ke Ding. The great aristocrat named Ke in the Western Zhou Dynasty was cast for the sacrifice of his grandfather. The shape is magnificent and simple, and the ears are erected on the top of the Dingkou. The bottom three legs have begun to evolve into the animal-shaped hoof shape in the late Western Zhou Dynasty, which is calm and solid. The ornamentation is a set of three symmetrical variants of crepe and wide smudges, with lines that are sleek and smooth. Because the treacherous pattern is like a wave and valley around the body, it is also called a wave pattern.
If the shape and ornamentation of Da Ke Ding show solemnity and weight, and give the association of majesty and power, then the long inscription on the inner wall of the Ding Wei contains rich historical value. The inscription has a total of 28 lines and 290 words, which is a model for the Western Zhou Dynasty. The first paragraph of the content is the praise and nostalgia of the grandfather and the father of the grandfather, praised him for his modest character, good virtues, the auxiliary royal family, the benevolence of the people, and the management of the country. The wise Zhou Tianzi remembered the great achievements of Shi Hua's father, promoted his grandson to serve as the important position of the royal family, and was responsible for conveying Zhou Tianzi's orders; the second paragraph was the book's fate, and Zhou Tianzi reiterated his appointment to the official position. Many gifts, fields, men and women slaves, lower bureaucrats and bands were given to them. Khmer worshipped the dagger and accepted the appointment and reward happily. It was the virtue of casting the great tribute to the Son of Heaven and sacrificing the grandfather's spirit in heaven. This Ding Department is a casting instrument of Zhou Xiaowang period. It has been recorded and circulated. It is a precious material for studying the slave system of the Western Zhou Dynasty.
